Objections. Artists for Another World
Ex Willner Brewery, Berlin (Germany)
June 2015
Installation: photography, video, watercolor paintings on papyrus, sand drawings, colored sand drawings – inspired by a travel to Vanuatu May/June 2013
The EFAK presents works by 27 artists from Germany, the Netherlands, Austria and Italy as well as artists from Iran, China and Turkey living in Germany. Fine arts, painting, photography, performance, sculpture, video and installation. This thematic group exhibition asks about the reactions of female artists to today's challenges. Artists react to the global banking crisis and unemployment, the precariat and growing poverty, to global and local environmental destruction and trouble spots. Changes that not least influence the way artists shape their own lives and work conditions. As sensitive observers of the world, artists formulate their objection and claim to a life of dignity, justice, openness and beauty.
